Adventist Church launches new “Potluck Finder” App

This will change your life.

SILVER SPRING, Md. — The Seventh-day Adventist Church released a Potluck Finder app today, aimed at streamlining the church visitation experience.

The app allows baptized Seventh-day Adventist users to locate churches in their area that are serving specific kinds of cuisine, allowing potential visitors to filter for categories such as vegan, (just) vegetarian, Mexican, Italian, etc.

Pickier users who might find it hard to eat after an unenjoyable church experience can also filter for various kinds of services: conservative Adventist, liberal Adventist and Barely Adventist.

Although many Adventists have hailed the potluck finder app as an answer to prayer, critics have lambasted the tool for encouraging church hopping or worse: sleeping in when the potluck forecast doesn’t look good at nearby churches.

Special thanks to a BarelyAdventist reader for the story idea!

Please make sure you create a rating system because a lot of our folk can’t cook… Pour the veggie meat right out the can and into the microwave and expect you to eat it.. It’s not a Pot Luck it’s The Worst Luck for your stomach…

I say ban all SDA pot lucks. Never tasted one that was decent yet. I’ve been around and know of what I am speaking about. Just don’t ban my wife’ mac & cheese(real dairy cheese!), her Special; K Loaf(simply out of this world) and her New England Baked Beans(real beans, real sauce, real—-), her New England Clam Chowder-minus the clams. Other than that, ban ’em all. What’s next? Catering a meal could work out. At least it is cooked, hot & edible. Woe iz me!

I forgot one very special food item-Little Debbies. I’ll take a Little Debbie pot luck over any of that other stuff. Bring it on. Should I stay or should I go?
