SILVER SPRING, Md. — After an Annual Council packed with prayers for the Holy Spirit to be present and guide decision making on the issue of what to do with non-compliant unions, it appears that the Holy Spirit answered the call.
To the shock of GC leadership, however, the Spirit disagreed with their view of things.
Analysts were hesitant to attribute the outpouring of complicated motions, amendments and points of order to the Spirit.
But most agreed that after the enormous pressure to comply with GC leadership’s push to have Executive Committee members sign a 14-page compliance document, only the Spirit could have persuaded 184 brave souls to send the document back to committee until next year.
“We prayed for the Holy Spirit to guide and now we have to give thanks for the direction we’ve been given,” said an elated TED representative, admitting that this was the first time in years that he had felt hope while inside the GC building.

It may have been intended as satire, but in this case it is very accurate.
“Non-compliant unions,” my foot! The Unions actually have the authority to choose. http://www.EqualOrdination.com/actual-significance/
This is actually a pretty accurate account of what actually transpired!
This is the first post here that is totally non-satirical, IMO. Sometimes it’s possible to speak the unvarnished truth under the cover of satire. 😉
No wonder the GC President is so vehemently opposed to women’s ordination: he is just like the Jesuit Pope! Look at him here: http://www.tinyurl.com/GCpapacy
No wonder the HS disagreed. Look on the facial expressions. Hope the cafeteria had a bunch of Little Debbies on hand to perk up their “spirits”.
Looking forward to 2020 Indy. Meet it head on!!
This past weekend, during the anniversary celebration broadcast for 3ABN Russia, it was announced that 3ABN founder Danny Shelton has married Yvonne Lewis (director of the 3ABN Dare to Dream network). This is Danny’s fourth marriage, following failed unions with Linda and Brandy (and Kay, the first wife, died in a tragic accident in 1982). Back in 2012, 3ABN tried to squelch the “rumors” that Danny and Yvonne were dating and were planning to marry. Now it is official: they are husband and wife. And Danny’s wife is lucky, as he is a wealthy man from sales royalties of his 10 Commandments book, which has sold more than 5 million copies according to court papers http://bit.ly/2goFWtE . Cheers to the newlywed couple!
Hey Lexi, Don’t sleep on Yvonne…she gets ROYALTIES too. Do you know her past? Just saying!
God Bless!
Congratulations to Danny Shelton and dr Yvonne Lewis-Shelton on their marriage I wish them much sucess and happiness may God be the glory.
I love it…Yes, they are Married and I wish them the very best! I love both of them as Brother and Sister. OMG…I wanted that for them so bad. God does NOT make mistakes. They have such a wonderful public persona, and an awesome FUN relationship on the Network. I love his since of humor, and Yvonne is so very humble. May GOD bless this UNION until he comes to take them home.
They’re not going “Home” as long as they are in that adulterous relationship they call marriage.
Really! The Bible clearly speaks about divorce to the believer.
How can you speak so clearly about keeping the Sabbath and disregard other basis truths. Have Danny Shelton forgot what the Bible said ? Do not be led by feelings Mr. Shelton. Rely on God’s word which is the only truth.
Amen sister Caroline, Amen!!
