SILVER SPRING, Md. — As the world mourns the passing of music legend Prince, the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists has decided to honor the memory of the star by bringing back use of the denomination’s former heavily purple logo for seven days.

Prince, who was raised a Seventh-day Adventist, was well-known for his obsession with the color purple. Although the star later left the Adventist faith, church leaders decided to join purple Prince tributes around the world.

“Even Niagara Falls turned purple so the least we can do is do a temporary logo change,” said GC Communications spokesperson Storlila Geni. “We obviously already had the artwork done.”

I am turning purple with horror just reading this phony article. Prince may have been brought up SDA, but fame & fortune made him go another direction thanks to his father. His music & lyrics are full of sexist innuendo. His music & lyrics were egotistical. In recent years he embraced the Jehovah Witness faith. Even his name, “Prince” is a tribute to the Prince of this world instead of emulating the real PRINCE, the King of Kings, Lord of Lords. What a poor example for our youth and others to follow. He gained the whole world but lost his soul to the enemy. Stop this rubbish about Prince. Do you want that I should cancel my subscription? Woe iz me!

Richard Mills- For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. Matthew 6:14-15 Let’s now judge.

NOT THAT I LIKE PRINCE OR HIS MUSIC. I’VE ALWAYS BEEN AT ODDS WITH HIS FEMININE WAYS. MUSIC IS LESS THAN GOOD EXCEPT FOR LIL RED CORVETTE.

I’m SDA and I love prince for his musical genius – but with caution to the message that his lyrics suggest. Recognising that he was raised SDA I’m glad that he had the opportunity to know the truth. Let’s not get confused, only God knows where someone’s heart is at. Only God knows where Prince will lead his final life. Our decisions should be based on how he lead his life and whether it demonstrates the life that Jesus displayed.
I pray that Jesus was Princes saviour and that in heaven I can see him sitting side by side with Jesus singing like an angel with praise for Jesus. Amen to that.

HA. HIS TALENT WAS LESS THAN ADEQUATE, WHICH IS WHY HE NEEDED AN IMAGE TO HELP PUSH HIS CARREER, THE IMAGE WAS TO LOOK LIKE A QUEER BOY

Listen to the song 7. I think that is sufficient proof how he perceives adventism.

Interesting name for the GC Communications spokesperson, “Storlila Geni” (“big purple genius”).

One could wonder whether the artist might have remained an Adventist if he had sensed more love and grace.
