SILVER SPRING, Md. — In the biggest Annual Council surprise since the news that compliance committees were left off the agenda, the General Conference announced this morning that Kanye West has agreed to “revolutionize” song service at the traditionally stiff event.

West, who has recently relaunched himself as a worship leader, is said to be preparing a dramatic reinvention of Adventist anthem “We Have This Hope” and has let slip that he hopes to crowd surf to the song when it is performed in the GC auditorium.

The performer has also been commissioned by Annual Council organizers to perform all new policy language readings from the front of the auditorium as rap because delegates have complained that traditional readings combined with jet lag always put them to sleep.
